What’s the difference between the Chords on Cards and voicing reference volumes?

The chord on the cards and chord in the reference volumes are exactly the same. It’s just just a matter of preference. Once you define who you are and what voicings you like you can narrow down what you are working with to the appropriate set of cards and work with them right at your instrument. The Master Decks and volumes have thousands of voicings. When you get familiar with the system you will probably only use 20 or 30. We give you all the voicings so you can discover yourself and explore harmony. As you see in the videos, the chords go together like LEGO building blocks so you need to establish what subset of the block you are going to work with to define who you are musically.

Do I need the software and the cards and the reference  books?

No. You can get either the cards or the software or the reference volumes, they all contain the same voicings. It is just a matter of preference. The software has the added advantage of being able to PRINT the cards. You can arrange the cards virtually in the software. Try out all the voicings and then print out that small subset of voicings that define you as cards. The voicings print out on 8’1/2 x 11 sheets with 4 vocings per sheet.

So you can actually read the voicings visually as if they were sheet music after you print out your creation!  Here is a sample of what the chords look like printed. The entire course is very visual anybody can play these advanced chords. Just follow the pictures.
